fortysevens (40Sevens.com) – Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern:
Participation in fortysevens organised football activities; and
Use of the fortysevens website (40Sevens.com) and digital platform (the “Platform”).
By accessing the Platform, registering interest, organising matches, or participating in matches, you agree to these Terms.
1. About fortysevens
fortysevens and the 40Sevens.com website are owned and operated by SymsRudd Ltd, company number 09748262.
SymsRudd Ltd registered address is 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX
fortysevens provides:
Structured 7-a-side football organisation; and/or
Digital tools enabling independent organisers to manage football groups.
fortysevens may operate matches directly or provide software tools to third-party organisers.
2. Eligibility
Participants must:
Be aged 40 or over (unless a different age band is clearly stated);
Be physically fit to participate in recreational football;
Accept the inherent risks associated with physical sport.
Organisers using the Platform must:
Be aged 18 or over;
Have authority to manage their group;
Ensure compliance with all applicable UK laws and venue requirements.
3. Participation & Assumption of Risk
Football is a physical sport and carries inherent risk of injury.
By participating in any match organised by or through fortysevens, you confirm that:
You are voluntarily participating;
You accept responsibility for your own health and fitness;
You understand that injury may occur.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, fortysevens shall not be liable for injuries sustained during participation except where caused by its negligence.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance if desired.
4. Code of Conduct
fortysevens is built on respect and fairness.
All participants agree to:
Play competitively but responsibly;
Avoid reckless, aggressive or dangerous conduct;
Respect fellow players, organisers and facilities;
Accept organiser decisions without abuse.
fortysevens reserves the right to suspend or remove any participant for breach of this Code.
5. Fair Rotation System
Where matches are oversubscribed, allocation is determined by the fortysevens rotation system.
Participants acknowledge that:
Selection may vary week to week;
Missing out occasionally is part of the format;
Allocation decisions are final.
The system is designed to ensure fairness over time, not guaranteed weekly selection.
6. Platform Use (SaaS Terms)
Where access is provided to digital tools:
6.1 Licence
fortysevens grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for managing football groups.
Users must not:
Copy, resell or replicate the Platform;
Attempt to reverse engineer the system;
Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.
6.2 Organiser Responsibility
Where matches are organised by independent organisers using the Platform:
Organisers are solely responsible for venue booking, safety, player conduct and compliance with law.
fortysevens provides administrative tools only.
fortysevens is not responsible for the physical operation of independently organised matches.
7. Payments & Subscriptions
Where subscription fees apply:
Fees will be clearly stated prior to purchase;
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled;
Access may be suspended for non-payment.
Unless otherwise stated, match fees are separate from Platform subscription fees.
8. Withdrawal & No-Shows
Participants are responsible for confirming availability and notifying organisers if unable to attend.
Repeated no-shows or late withdrawals may result in:
Suspension from future matches;
Adjustment within the rotation system.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, systems and materials relating to fortysevens are protected by UK intellectual property laws.
Users may not reproduce or distribute materials without permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
Subject to clause 3:
fortysevens shall not be liable for:
Loss or damage to personal belongings;
Disputes between participants;
Venue-related incidents outside its control;
Indirect or consequential losses;
Loss of data where reasonable care has been taken.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights under UK law.
11. Changes to Terms
fortysevens may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
